Tools for software defined radio - Tools4SDR

Tools4SDR is dedicated to the software defined radio (SDR) concept. Its objective is to federate the tools developed for the SDR, including general documents, description of the available hardware, information about available software and some toolboxes.

This website is a collaborative website, meaning that the proposed content has been published by several actors. Two kinds of publications are available:
  1. Public document: This kind of publication can be updated by anyone with an account. Every proposition of update is check by an administrator before publication. Only the Informative document belongs to this class.
  2. Private document: This kind of publication can be proposed by anyone but can only be updated by its author. The first proposition is check by an administrator before publication. Then, the author can update its publication without any control. Informative (private) document, General tools, Tutorial, Matlab toolbox, GNU Radio box and Python transceiver chains belong to this class.

1.1. Informative publications

Here is a list of information publications, which can be updated by everybody:.
  • SDR: This page describes how people define the software defined radio concept.
  • Conferences: You can find here a list of conferences dedicated to SDR or with sessions about this subject.
  • Products: A list of products to do SDR
  • Standards: List of standards based on the software defined radio concept.

2. How to contribute to this website and to publish your own tool

2.1. Contribute to informative publications

no descriptionTools4SDR offers two ways to contribute to informative publications. You can either update an existing article on the website. In this case, the text Update the version (illustrated on the right) is shown at the top right of the navigator. The version you submit is then validated by an administrator before publications.

no descriptionYou can also propose a new collaborative article, using the button New article at the top left of the screen. You need then to choose an information publication. Everyone is then authorized to propose an update of the article, which is always validated by the administrator.

2.2. Publish your own toolboxes and own information documents

You can also publish article which cannot be updated by other users. In this case, when you click on the button New article at the top left of the screen, and you choose another type of publications than information publication. The submitted article is then validated by an administrator. This is the only validation and the next updates are directly published.
